Creating Guns on 3-D Printer

In this article, the New York times talks about the impact of 3-D printers, with new technology making them able to actually print guns in one's home using a printer. It explains how such printers, which now cost about $1,000, can simply "print" out any weapon or defense technology with the push of a button. The ridiculousness of this invention is portrayed in the way the author of the article uses quotations and rhetoric questions as well as with the use of possible situations being created as a result of this invention. He then uses quotations from the creator of such printer and portrays him in a certain light through his wording. He then uses quotations from powerful leaders in the gun market and defense industry to show the possible repercussions for this invention. After reading the article, I am now aware that anyone, anywhere with this kind of printer has the ability to create a gun without a license, which makes me extremely nervous.
