Rhetoric soars as Obama, Romney start closing arguments
In this article the author uses an unbiased view of Romney and Obama in order to depict the different ways both candidates use rhetoric in their speeches and visits. While speaking, both candidates are sure to include heavy uses of both logos and pathos. This tactic aids the candidates in persuading their audiences not only to remember how bad things used to be because of certain events, but also how gravely the economy or public was affected through the use of statistics. The author continually flips back and forth from each candidate in order to show their opposing sides and how they contrast each other. The author writes how both candidates need to insure that the swing-voters are clearly aware of what each party stands for so that the decision of who they should vote for will be made easily due to the clarity of the candidates' agenda for the upcoming years. The author of the articles uses quotes from debates and speeches to emphasis the candidates' points they are trying to get across as they quickly scramble from state to state in a frantic effort to scrape together a few more voters who were previously unsure of who to vote for.
