This article discusses the change in America's demographics where many Hispanic people are now a huge part of our nation's public education system. Mainly this article is a summery of a recent analysis of the test scores of Hispanic students in various states. To establish logos, the author includes that
the Association that conducted this study is claimed to be the most reliable
standardize testing. By adding this minor detail, it actually accredits the
author and the entire experiment by
affirming its authenticity. The article proceeds with many interesting statistics, and it is concise. Unfortunately
there is almost no variety in the author's use of rhetoric. Sentence after
sentence of logos is tedious, and the author has a lack of emotional connection
to the article. The author only uses mild diction without much conviction of any sort. Overall, the article is succesful in informing a reader about the situation, but without any other use of rhetoric, it fails to grab the audiences attention.
